I don't know if I could wait that long, but maybe. It's one of the best games that I've played in a while. Too bad I didn't get that addicted to Oblivion.

I finished the "main quest" of Skyrim after like 60 hours, got dropped back out into the main world, and was just like "...That's it?"

Yeah, there's tons of other stuff to do...
But, without some sort of overarching reason, it felt rather pointless.

I played Oblivion for about 180 hours (its actually more since it didn't count all the times i died) before my first PS3 got bricked, but the oblivion gates that popped up every now and then could easily keep you playing for a very long time if you cared.

the level scaling in Oblivion kind of made it a pain, so when i start again on PC i'm going to try and find a mod that will balance it out more like Skyrim has just to make it a little less frustrating/time intensive.

Skyrim has been fun for me, though. My only problem is that it is so hard to stay on track with what I want to do, I always get sidetracked and it takes me multiple hours to get to where i want to go. Or i won't even get there.

I actually haven't really put any time in with Oblivion. Just kind of skipped over it.
I really need to get into it though. It honestly looks like a much more enjoyable game.

it was my first Elder Scrolls game, so i liked it a lot. i kept hearing morrowind was better, so its funny now that skyrim was out that everyone is saying that oblivion was better.

i guess morrowind was the pinnacle of the series or something

I think with mods, Skyrim is better than Oblivion. Oblivion needs mods to even function as a half-working game (Obscuro's Overhaul mod). I think we're all in agreement though that Morrowind is the superior species - that is, except for left-out Dave who won't play Morrowind because he's racist against dark elves, admit it!!

I love Skyrimming, one of my favorite activities. There's a mod called Falskaar that adds a whole new continent with 20+ hours of quality content.

You better believe that I'll be playing that soon, how amazing that people make these incredibly detailed mods for nothing but rep.

Yeah I've been doing so much other stuff(i.e. work/eat/sleep) that I haven't had much time for games. Thanks to mods, I have a cool Fennec(fox) character that I run around Riften with.

What are your normal games? I've been playing Forza 4 and Forza Horizon lately.

I usually stop playing a game the minute it starts being a "time sink"

Neither does three-dee Drano(but at least some of them come with a Drain Snake so you can clear the hair out of your rusty old pipes).

I remember once I was doing a repair on an old drain in our old apartment and was removing the p-trap where all the gunk and crap builds up and creates blocks so water doesn't drain out. I think the last time that was done was maybe 1943 in that old place. Well, as I was removing that piece, the other pipe completely breaks apart from rust and corrosion. I'd never seen anything like it in my life. I then made another trip to Home Depot.

I like doing home repairs. If I don't know how, I'll learn how just to avoid spending two hundred bucks for someone to tell me, "Yep, it's broke alright."
