I have been taking a break from doughnuts for a good 3 or 4 months now. there is a doughnut place where i work and i would occasionally go there for lunch or an early breakfast.
I usually just got a croissant or a glazed old-fashioned doughnut. Never really anything super sweet or sugary, although occasionally i would get a cinnamon roll or a strawberry bear claw thinger.
i went once to get a plain croissant and cooked on the bottom of it was a huge 1 foot+ long hair. it was pretty gross and i couldn't believe it got through.
grossed me out enough to not want to go back, at least for the rest of this year.
i might wane eventually, but i know its "healthier" to not eat doughnuts. now i mostly just eat a clif bar in the morning.
